Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) is an exciting baseball skills competition that provides boys and girls, ages 7 to 14, the opportunity to showcase their pitching, hitting and running abilities. PHR participants can advance through four levels of competition, including Local and Sectional competitions, Team Championship events at all 30 Major League ballparks, and the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game.
The official skills competition of Major League Baseball, PHR is intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the fun element of baseball. All participants must begin by competing in a Local competition, which can be hosted by any organization, league, civic group or set of volunteers in the community. PHR is free of charge to both the participants and the local hosting organization. El Cajon, CA – The Camp of Champions is honered to be chosen by Major League Baseball to host the Aquafina MLB Pitch, Hit, & Run Competition. Young pro football fans will have the opportunity to exhibit their baseball skills when the Camp of Champions teams up with the San Diego Padres to host this years event. Competition Date: Sunday April 19th, 2009 Competition Location: TBD The Pitch - Try to throw strikes like Major League pitchers by taking a shot at hitting the MLB Strike Zoone The Hit - Swing away from home plate! Just like big leaguers, you'll be judged on distance and accuracy.
